ORTHOPAEDIC SURGEONS Knox Orthopaedic Clinic is based in Wantirna in the south eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Victoria Australia. We are located approximately 45 minutes from the CBD. Our team of orthopaedic surgeons are highly experienced in both acute and chronic orthopaedic problems including:

We pride ourselves on offering the best care to our patients by not only providing a comprehensive evaluation and opionion, but for also offering our patients full consensual information for their operative procedures including the fors and againsts when considering surgery versus conservative treatment. Should you chose to undergo a surgical procedure our experienced office personnel will guide you through the process with full details regarding out of pocket costs, admission information and general advice regarding your forthcoming operation. Our Orthopaedic Surgeons are happy to see Workcover and TAC patients, however it is necessary that you provide your Workcover or TAC details at the time of your first consultation. None of our orthopaedic surgeons treat back or neck problems. However, should you have a back or neck problem the secretarial staff at Knox Orthopaedic Clinic would be only too happy to offer suggestions of whom to see, or you can contact your local doctor to obtain a referral to a specialist back/neck surgeon. HAND THERAPIST Diana Francis is our inhouse Hand Therapist who has a degree in Occupational Therpy and is a member of the Hand Therapy Association of Australia. Hand Therapy is a specialised para medical profession similar to physiotherapy only specialises in injuries to the hand and forearm. She also is vastly experienced in the treatment and breakdown of scar and burns. She specialises in the treatment of: • Traumatic hand injuries • Chronic hand problems including osteoarthritis, DeQuervain’s tenosynovitis, carpal tunnel syndrome • Carries out hand writing assessments • Scar management for problematic scars • Burns management A consultation with Diana involves being assessed for the injury/problem you have. A splinting regime sometimes needs to be combined with a home exercise program to obtain the best results from your injury as is possible. Diana will provide any splints that are required for you and she will custom make them for you in the rooms at the time of your consultation. You do not need a referral to see Diana, however if you have had surgery to the hand then a letter from your surgeon or at least an operative report would be welcomed. PARKING AT THE CLINIC You will need to park in the Knox Private Hospital
carpark to access our rooms. Car parking fees apply and are payable on
leaving the hospital carpark. Pay stations are located in the hospital
building or you can pay using your credit card at the boom gate.
